Anti-Ragging Policy at Azeezia Medical College

At Azeezia Medical College, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all our students. Ragging, in any form, is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. We adhere to the regulations set forth by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Medical Council of India (MCI) to ensure a ragging-free campus.

What is Ragging?

Ragging is any act that causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm or apprehension or shame or embarrassment to a student, including:

  • Teasing, abusing, or playing practical jokes on a student.
  • Forcing a student to perform acts that cause shame, embarrassment, or danger to their health.
  • Any act that disrupts the academic environment or the mental state of a student.

Anti-Ragging Committee

The Anti-Ragging Committee at Azeezia Medical College is responsible for monitoring and preventing any incidents of ragging on campus. The committee is comprised of faculty members, administrative staff, and student representatives who are dedicated to maintaining a safe and supportive educational environment.

Reporting Ragging

Students are encouraged to report any incidents of ragging they witness or experience. All reports will be handled with the utmost confidentiality and seriousness. There are several ways to report ragging:

Disciplinary Actions

Azeezia Medical College adopts a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging. Students found guilty of ragging will face severe disciplinary actions, including:

  • Suspension from the college.
  • Expulsion from the hostel.
  • Debarring from examinations.
  • Expulsion from the institution and subsequent denial of admission to any other institution.
  • Criminal proceedings under the relevant laws.

Preventive Measures

To prevent ragging, Azeezia Medical College implements several measures, including:
